Zimbra Upgrade (Resuelto)

  • On Sunday the 7th March 2021, we'll be upgrading the Zimbra email sever "mailgate.clannet.co.uk" to the latest version to take advantage of new features and also to bring us up to date with the currently supported version, ensuring we continue to receive security updates.

    Work will begin at 04:00, with no access to email while the upgrade takes place. The work should be completed by 14:00.

    Following the upgrade, we'll be running Zimbra v9, the latest edition with many "under the hood" improvements. A new look theme will also be available, although you'll be able to keep using the old familiar theme to retain the same look and feel if you wish. The login page will look a little different though, as shown below:

     

    If you'd like to use the new theme, a preview of the new style is shown below:

    All your existing email will be migrated as part of the upgrade, and any email sent while the work takes place will be delivered once the service becomes available again.

HSNM Upgrade (Resuelto)

  • On Tuesday 19th Feb 2019 between the hours of 11:30PM and 4AM the Hotspot Network Manager server will be upgraded to the next major release (from v5 to v6).

    A full backup will be taken before the upgrade begins, and we will be on hand following the upgrade to address any issues that 0may arise.

HSNM - Enable HTTPS (Resuelto)

  • We will be enabling support for HTTPS on portal pages served by HSNM, which will require a brief period of downtime.

    This work should not be customer affecting.

Server Migration (Resuelto)

  • On Saturday 22nd September servers located at Stockbridge Technology Centre will be moved to a new location. During this time services provided by these servers will be unavailable.

    Services include:

    • CLANNET Email Server
    • CLANNET reverse DNS
    • Development Hyper-V Hosting Service

    Work is scheduled to began at 23:00, and will continue until the early hours of Sunday morning. Full service should be restored by 06:00 Sunday 23rd September, although address changes may need longer to propagate round the internet.

Datacentre Maintenance - Provider Network (Resuelto)

  • Starting at 2359 UK time on Wednesday the 11th of April, our datacentre provider intend to upgrade the software on one of the routers in their Core network in York.

    This is the same work that was started and aborted on Tuesday the 6th and cancelled on Wednesday the 21st of March 2018.

    The maintenance window is estimated at up to 6 hours long, though we expect the actual outage to be somewhat shorter than this.
